The
Award Winning 2002 Video!
Update(2/14):
The
2002 Corvettes at Carlisle video has been out for only
a few months now and it's already bringing home the awards,
just like the videos that came before it.
We
are proud to announce that the 2002 video has won a Communicator
Award of Distinction and a Telly Finalist award. These
two acknowledgements are very prestigious awards in the
video industry and we here at Olegna Productions are very
excited that the hard work and dedication we put into
these videos has been recognized as outstanding examples
of work among our peers.
If
you haven't seen this video yet now is a good time to
pick up a copy. It covers all the great events of the
2002 Corvettes at Carlisle weekend and features the fantastic
Evolution Display showing all Corvette models that were
produced during the Corvette's fifty-year history. This
was an amazing display of 103 different models starting
off with Chip Miller's 1953 Corvette, the lowest original
mileage, unrestored '53 model, and capped off with Chip's
2003 50th Anniversary edition that shares a matching serial
number with his 1953 car.

Update
(4/24):Don't break out the tux and gown
just yet but Olegna Productions' video, "Corvettes at
Carlisle 2001" just picked up its first national recognition
at the 23rd Annual Telly Awards.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1980, to showcase and give
recognition to outstanding non-network and cable commercials.
The competition was expanded several years ago to include
film and video productions.
The
Telly has become one of the most sought-after awards in the
TV, commercial, and video industry. The Telly statuette is
truly a work of art, and is produced by the same firm that
makes the Oscar® and Emmy® awards. The Telly statuette
has even appeared on the set of many prime-time TV shows,
such as thirtysomething, Murder, She Wrote, Newhart, News
Radio, and most recently in the movie "What Women Want."
In
the past 22 years, winners and finalists have come from a
large
cross-section of agencies, production companies, television
stations, and cable operations, as well as corporate video
departments. All 50 states have been represented by past winners
and finalists.
Although
this is not the first Telly for an Olegna Production, this
is the first Telly Award received for any of the Corvettes
at Carlisle videos so we are quite proud of this award and
will have a photo of our statuette featured on our awards
page as soon as we receive our award.

page on this website. While there you can check out actual
clips from the video. |

All-GM NationalsThe Video
WINS The
Communicator's Award of Excellence.
AN
EXCITING NEW TRADITION CAPTURED IN OLEGNA'S "CARLISLE
ALL-GM NATIONALS" VIDEO
In
the tradition of Carlisle's world-renown car shows, Olegna
Production's just-released "Carlisle All-GM Nationals"
video catches all the excitement in the first of what
is sure to become a series of classic events.
Videotaped
during the June 29-July 1, 2001 show in Carlisle, Pa.,
the video features the 35th Anniversary Camaro World Premiere
as well as a sampling of the most desirable vehicles ever
offered by Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick and Cadillac.
Car
enthusiasts have long thrilled to Carlisle's other events,
including Corvettes at Carlisle and their All-Ford and
All-Chrysler nationals and the always packed spring and
fall swap meets.
And
since 1998, Corvette lovers have eagerly anticipated Olegna
Production's award-winning videos of the annual Corvettes
at Carlisle eventsnow Olegna brings that same quality
and action-packed footage to its coverage of the Carlisle
All-GM Nationals.
In the Carlisle
All-GM Nationals video you'll see old and new factory
concept cars, lovingly restored classics, one-of-a-kind
models and muscle cars. Plus, Olegna's cameras bring you
behind the scenes and deliver exclusive interviews with
the people who design, race and collect the finest GM
has offered throughout the years.
Olegna's
owner, Angelo Del Monte, himself a Cadillac collector,
said he was thrilled at some of the rare cars on displayall
captured by Olegna's camera crews.
"You
don't usually get to see this variety of cars," Del
Monte said. "Like Don Fezell's three 1963 drag racing
Impalas and Gary Holub's amazing collection of Yenko Camaros."
"In
1969 the Yenko's only came in six colors and Holub has
one of each. This was the first time these six rare cars
were ever shown to the public," Del Monte said. "That
weekend at the show someone offered Holub a million dollars
for the collection and he just laughed."

For all who were taken from us on September 11, 2001,
and their families, friends and loved ones who are
left to guard their memories, our thoughts and prayers
are with you.
Olegna Productions was called out to
Somerset County, Pennsylvania on September 11 to cover
the crash and it's aftermath for CBS News. It was
a sad story to work on and one that we hope never
to have to cover again.
As
emergency workers, FBI, PA State Police, camera crews,
and countless others were working around the clock
to do their jobs, the Salvation Army and the American
Red Cross were there to make sure we all had something
to eat or drink while we all put in long hours. We
would like to personally thank them for their assistance
and for their commitment.
God
Bless America.
